SHINJUKU STATION × RAMEN · CHECKED 1 NOVEMBER 2026

Ramen near Shinjuku Station: choose the exit first.

A Shinjuku address can mean the east side, west side, Yoyogi, Sendagaya or a longer walk toward the garden. Pick the bowl and the street address before you leave the station.

East exit: Hayashida

For a shoyu soup-noodle stop, Hayashida’s operator gives about three minutes from JR Shinjuku east exit. Use the Shinjuku branch at 3-31-5, not another shop in the chain.

West exit: Menya Musashi

The founding branch is at 7-2-6 Nishi-Shinjuku, about four minutes from JR’s west exit according to the operator. Compare its ramen and tsukemen options before ordering.

Yoyogi or Sendagaya: dipping noodles

Fuunji and Gonokami Seisakusho sit at different addresses on this side of the wider station area. Choose chicken-and-seafood or shrimp-led tsukemen, then use the exact map pin.

Golden Gai: Nagi Honkan

Nagi lists its upstairs original as 24 hours, approximately eight minutes from JR east exit or three from Shinjuku-sanchome. It serves niboshi ramen; the nearby Nishi-Shinjuku branch has different hours.

Garden area: Konjiki Hototogisu

The shop gives a fifteen-minute walk from JR Shinjuku, versus two minutes from Shinjuku-gyoenmae. Plan around numbered-ticket distribution and leave suitcases elsewhere before visiting.

Ticket times and luggage guidance →

Walking estimates start outside the station.

The times quoted here are the restaurants’ published estimates. They do not include getting off your train, finding the exit, waiting at crossings or queuing. If you arrive with luggage or need step-free access, check a route that suits your party instead of treating a short estimate as a guarantee.

Match the meal to the rest of your day.

For an east-side errand, begin with Hayashida or Nagi. On the west side, begin with Musashi. For a garden visit, check Hototogisu’s ticket arrangements before walking over. These are planning suggestions, not claims that a restaurant is open or has seats now.
