Why chuka soba?

中華そば

Some ramen menus use chuka soba, literally Chinese-style soba. Here soba need not mean a buckwheat-noodle dish.

What to notice

The name alone cannot establish whether buckwheat or other allergens are present. Ask about the actual noodles when needed.

Try it with your next bowl

Learn this written expression so an unfamiliar shop sign becomes a doorway rather than a barrier.
